Terms & Conditions

  • A 10% Mobilization Advance is required upon contract signing. This advance will be used to mobilize labor and initiate work on site. It will be adjusted in the final bill.

  • Progress Payments totaling 90% of the contract value shall be made in staggered installments based on key project milestones. Payments will be made against certified bills and measurements submitted by the Contractor.

  • The mobilization advance (10%) will be deducted from the final bill.

  • All invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.

  • Delayed payments beyond the 7-day period will incur an interest charge of 2% per week on the overdue amount, calculated daily.

  • The Contractor reserves the right to pause or cease work in the event of non-payment or repeated delays in payments.

Urbanclay will provide skilled labor for installation or other construction services as per the approved scope. Any deviations, additions, or changes in scope must be communicated and approved in writing. Extra charges may apply for additional work.

The Client shall be responsible for providing the following, to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted execution of the works:

  • Scaffolding and Access Equipment: All necessary scaffolding, access platforms, and lifting arrangements required for safe and proper installation.

  • Utilities and Site Access: Continuous availability of electrical power, lighting, and unrestricted access to the job site for the Contractor’s personnel and equipment.

  • Worker Accommodation: Provision of a labor camp or suitable accommodation facilities for workers, in proximity to the worksite.

  • Water Supply: Uninterrupted water supply at the worksite, adequate for construction and worker needs.

  • Safety Equipment: All mandatory safety gear and protective equipment required for site installation activities, including but not limited to harnesses, helmets, gloves, barricades, and signage, in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.

In the event that the progress of work is delayed, disrupted, or suspended due to reasons attributable to the Client, the Contractor shall not be held responsible for any resulting project delays. Such reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Delay in the availability or supply of required materials.

  • Non-availability of scaffolding, access platforms, or essential equipment.

  • Restricted or denied access to the project site.

  • Delays arising from pending approvals, design confirmations, or coordination issues on the Client’s part.

In such instances, the Client agrees to compensate the Contractor for idle labor charges. A charge of ₹1,000 per laborer per day will be levied for each day that workers are made to wait or are unable to carry out their assigned tasks due to no fault of their own.

The Contractor also reserves the right to request a corresponding extension of time in the project schedule for any such delays.

The Contractor shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond control, such as extreme weather, strikes, lockdowns, or legal restrictions. In such cases, timelines will be adjusted accordingly.

All workmanship will be in line with standard industry practices. Any defect or concern must be raised within 7 days of work completion. The Contractor will make reasonable efforts to rectify any genuine quality issues.

In the event that the Client cancels the project after work has commenced, the following terms shall apply:

  • The Client shall pay in full for all work completed up to the date of cancellation, based on approved measurements and billing.

  • The initial deposit shall be non-refundable and will be forfeited by the Client.

  • The Client shall also compensate the Contractor for any mobilization and/or demobilization costs incurred as a result of the cancellation, if applicable.

These provisions are intended to cover costs already incurred and losses due to disruption of project planning and resource allocation.
