Solid Brick – Pressed frogged Thin Brick

Soft mud molded bricks are formed when a clot of clay coated with sand is thrown, by hand or machine, into a mold. The bottom of the mold is formed by a stock and a kicker may be placed on the stock to form a frog (the indent formed in the bed of the brick). Bricks with Frog have better bonding due to the irregular surface at the bonding point. The Frog of the brick is generally used to print the manufacturer’s name or trade mark.
